Cocco Bello di Torre Canne
About a week ago we went to one of the few bigger beaches in the area.
With 5 people we hit the road in a small fiat 600 (it was quite far so we had to take the car). This is a tiny car. Once above 1m70 I don’t think you will sit comfortably anymore even in the driver’s seat!
In Torre Canne we met up with Carmela, her brother and a cousin. It has been ages I saw or heard her so I was really excited about it. The sea was beautiful, the sun very strong and the food great.
But the main thing that made this trip unforgettable was a ridiculous encounter with a local Coco-nut seller. Like many people on this beach he wandered around, trying to selling his goods (so called fresh coco’s) but the way he did it was a bit different than the others.
I am still not sure if he was a great entertainer, a crazy person or a nasty old man, but there are still evenings where we laugh about our encounter with him.
His name? Cocco Bello di Torre Canne
His specialty? His little dance!
His little dance
special dance with coco's
He even has a facebook fan club! (I subscribed, of course)
